Privacy Policy

Understand Canada ("we," "the site") is an independent citizenship test prep tool. This page explains what information we collect and how it's used, in plain language.

What we collect

• Your study progress — streaks, test history, and answers are stored only in your own browser (localStorage). We never see this data, and it never leaves your device.
• Your email — only if you make a purchase (handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor) or use "Restore purchase" to unlock a new browser. We use it solely to verify your purchase and email you a one-time restore link.

Payment information

All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see, receive, or store your card details — Stripe handles that entirely on its own secure checkout page.

Third parties we use

• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — sends the "restore purchase" email when you request it
• Vercel — hosts the site

None of these services receive your study data. Only your email (and, via Stripe, your purchase) is shared with them, and only when you take an action that requires it (paying, or requesting a restore link).

Cookies and tracking

We don't use analytics or advertising trackers. The site relies on your browser's localStorage to remember your progress on your own device — nothing is transmitted to us for that purpose.

Your rights

You can ask what information (if any) we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@canadacitizenshiptestprep.ca. Since we don't operate our own customer database, this mainly concerns records held by Stripe on our behalf, which we can help you address.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change too. Material changes will be reflected here.
